50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

It's our "Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary!" Yes, and it has been fifty years of blessedness because God has had first place in our hearts and in our home! To God we give the glory for the manifold privileges He has given us! We have been surrounded by the providences of God!

We now look back over half-a-century (50 years), with delight in the ways God brought us together, focused our desires to a fulfillment of His Divine will and a total investment of our labors in His kingdom. We wanted and have tried, in every way, to give our best to the Master!

For forty-three years we were privileged to pastor four Churches in the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Connection. In these pastorates Ruby continued her masterful music ministry through teaching, hymn composition and as church musician. I found great delight in the performance of both a teaching and preaching ministry. God honored us with several memorable revivals.

In the early years of our married life, with an anticipated happy future before us, we were unaware of the prolonged illnesses, which would darkly cloud our path for thirteen years. Through it all however, God was performing His will, preparing us for the work He wanted to unveil before us.

Thus, beginning in 1960, in the midst of our pastoral tenure at the Pittsburgh Wesleyan Methodist Church, God honored us by opening to us the first International Student outreach ministry in the Pittsburgh area. It was new and novel but through it God enabled us to totally fulfill the initial missionary calls which, individually, we in our youth had felt upon us. It was out of the crucible of affliction that God opened to us a vision of "The Transplanted Mission Field" that He was bringing to our doorstep! Though the work was entirely new to us, we followed the leadership of the Holy Spirit and were brought into contact with people from around the world.

On this anniversary occasion, we rejoice that for forty-one years we have been privileged to reach and minister the Gospel to people from 125 countries. Only eternity can reveal the fruitage of International Student Fellowship. For fifty years therefore, we can attest to the faithfulness of God to us in every way. He is and has been our "All in All!" We love our Lord and choose to serve Him until He calls us home!.

LETTER FROM THE ISF ASSISTANT
Dear International Friend,

Once again as our Newsletter makes its way into your home, we hope this greeting finds you doing well and enjoying the summer weather. The summertime is known to be a time when many American couples choose to have their wedding. Fifty years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Stonebraker, chose June 30th as the date for their special occasion to get married. Over the years God has blessed their lives and they have proven to be a blessing to many people from over 125 different countries. God blessed their home with three children: Ruth, Eileen and David. They are all now married and have given the Stonebreakers six wonderful grandchildren. The Fiftieth Anniversary is also known as the Golden Anniversary. God has given them fifty golden years together. They have been years where God has been first in their lives and their home. At our next gathering we would like to honor the Stonebrakers as being an example of a Christian marriage for 50 years and for their service to others because of their love for Jesus. If possible please come and share this time with us. The greatest honor to give them is your presence and words of congratulations to them.

On July 4th, we hope you had a chance to celebrate the birthday of our nation. In 1835, on July 8th the Liberty Bell cracked. On the 30th of July in 1830, Henry Ford was born in Dearborn, MI, and on July 23rd, 1935 an airplane crashed into the Empire State Building in New York City.

Our July ISF Gathering will be on Friday, July 20th, 7:30 PM in the beautiful Ballroom of the William Pitt Union. The William Pitt Union is located in Oakland on the corner of Bigelow and Fifth Avenue. To get to the Ballroom, use the entrance on Fifth Avenue and then follow the signs.

At this gathering, you will hear a good lecture and good music and the traditional ISF full course dinner. There will be children's activities in the Kurtzman Room, and that wonderful International fellowship. Please plan to come and invite your friends. It's all free!

We look forward to seeing you on July 20th!
                                                                                    --Terry Tiberio, ISF Assistant
