I JANUARY 2003
Auntie Pam

LETTER
FROM THE ISF ASSISTANT
Dear International Friend,
Our warm greetings to you and your family as we start a New
Year.
We enjoyed seeing many of you at our Christmas Banquet. It was
a time to renew old friendships and many told us of a new friend
that they had made. We thank all who participated and helped
us to make it an enjoyable evening (the photos will soon be
available in our Photos section).
One person many of the International children know is Auntie
Pam. Auntie Pam loves to send cards and gifts to International
children. We hope all who have children will e-mail us and let
us know of their birthday including month-day-year. Your children
will enjoy getting something special in the mail on their birthday!
It seems like just yesterday when we were all wondering what
the year 2000 would bring and anticipating the Y2K that never
occurred. We trust that the year of 2003 will find you with
an attitude of wanting to know God in a deeper and more personal
way. We do not know what the future will bring, but we can trust
in a God who does know the future. He wants to help you in every
area of your life. The choice is yours.
We look forward to seeing you at our January ISF gathering at
the William Pitt Union. This is first gathering for the New
Year! This gathering will be on Friday, January 17th, 7:30
PM in the beautiful Ballroom of the William Pitt
Union. The William Pitt Union is located in Oakland on the
corner of Bigelow and Fifth Avenue. To get to the Ballroom,
use the entrance on Fifth Avenue and then follow the signs.
At this gathering we will focus on thoughts for the New Year.
There's nothing that can warm the heart on a cold winter night
like the warm friendship you will feel at our monthly gathering.
You'll enjoy the full course meal and challenging lecture. Of
course, there will be children's activities in the Kurtzman
room. So do come and be a part of our big International family
and invite your friends. It's all free!
Hope to see you on January 17th!

HE ONLY IS THE MAKER
We plow the fields and scatter
The good seed on the land,
But it is fed and watered By God's almighty hand;
He sends the snow in winter,
The warmth to swell the grain,
The breezes and the sunshine,
And soft, refreshing rain.
He only is the Maker
Of all things near and far;
He paints the wayside flower,
He lights the evening star,
The winds and waves obey Him;
By Him the birds are fed;
Much more to us, His children,
He gives our daily bread.
We thank Thee, then, O Father,
For all things bright and good,
The seedtime and the harvest,
Our life, our health, our food;
Accept the gifts we offer,
For all thy love imparts,
And what Thou most desirest,
Our humble, thankful hearts.
