I SEPTEMBER 2003
ONLY JESUS / CALVARY’S LOVE
Only
Jesus, only He
Brings redemption full and free
There’s a yearning in all our lives
That only Jesus satisfies
Calvary’s Love will sail forever
Bright and shining, strong and free
Like an ark of peace and safety
On the sea of human need
Through the hours of all the ages
Those tired of sailing on their own
Finally rest inside the shadow
Cast by Calvary’s Love across their souls
Calvary’s Love, Calvary’s Love
Priceless gift Christ makes us worthy of
The deepest sin can’t rise above
Calvary’s Love
Calvary’s Love can heal the spirit
Life has crushed and cast aside
And redeem till heaven’s promise
Fills with joy once empty eyes
So desire to tell the story
Of a Love that loved enough to die
Burns away all other passions
And fed by Calvary’s Love, becomes a fire
Calvary’s Love, Calvary’s Love
Priceless gift Christ makes us worthy of
The deepest sin can’t rise above
Calvary’s Love
Calvary’s Love has never faltered
All its wonders still remain
Souls still take eternal passage
Sins atoned and heaven gained
Sins atoned and heaven gained

LETTER
FROM THE ISF ASSISTANT
Dear International Friend,
Greetings to you from International Student Fellowship.
It is hard to believe that another summer is almost gone and soon
the autumn season will be here (September 23rd). Unfortunately,
the last summer holiday, Labor Day, did not turn out to be too nice
of a day here in Pittsburgh. Hopefully, you took advantage of the
day off from studies or work and just relaxed and took it easy.
We spent the day trying to put the finishing touches on our basement
room that we want to use for our Bible Studies. By the time you
receive this letter it will be all finished and the carpet will
be in place. It may not be a professional job, but we did the best
we could to make it a nice roomy area for you to come and visit
us in. We welcome you to visit and join us in our weekly Bible Studies.
We have enjoyed meeting some new friends in the month of August.
If we have not seen you for a while, our next gathering in the month
of September would be a nice time for you to come so we can see
you again and you can meet some new International friends. We welcome
you to invite a friend.
We will look forward to seeing you at the September gathering. This
gathering will be on Friday, September 19th at
7:30 PM in the beautiful Ballroom
of the William Pitt Union. The William Pitt Union
is located in Oakland on the corner of Bigelow and Fifth Avenue.
To get to the Ballroom, use the entrance on Fifth Avenue and then
follow the signs. Steve Goodenow, who has spoken
at previous ISF Gatherings, will be speaking to us. His lecture
will have something to do with the scientific evidence of creation.
We are sure you will find this to be a challenging lecture. As always,
there will be good music, wonderful fellowship, a full course meal
for you to enjoy and of course there will be children’s activities
in the Kurtzman room. And remember it’s all free!
We look forward to seeing you on September 19th!

ONE
LINE SERMONS
·
Give God what's right -- not what's left.
· Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- God's way leads to
an endless hope.
· He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
· When praying, don't give God instructions – just
report for duty.
· We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.
· Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
· Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory
position.
· Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.
· Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming
back.
· He who angers you controls you.
· God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
