EASTER PRAYER

CHRIST IS RISEN!  HALLELUJAH!

Jesus,

Thank You for the gift of HOPE
You gave us on Easter morning.
Because of You we know
That no problem is too difficult
And even death does not have power over us.

Thank You for the gift of JOY
You gave us when You were resurrected.
Because of you we know
That no matter how challenging life may be,
In the end we will rejoice again.

Thank you for the gift of LOVE
You gave us when You laid down Your life.
Because of You we know
That there is no sin too great to separate us
and we are incredibly valuable to You.

Thank You for the gift of LIFE,
You gave us when You left the tomb.
Because of Easter we know
this world is just the beginning
and we will spend forever in heaven with You.

We celebrate You, JESUS,
With hearts full of praise and gratitude
For who You are and all You've done for us!

Amen.

( Note : The words to this song were written by the great song writer Fanny Crosby who was blind physically but had great spiritual insight.)

Christ is risen! Hallelujah!
Gladness fills the world today;
From the tomb that could not hold Him, See, the stone is rolled away!

Christ has risen! Hallelujah!
Blessed morning of light and life!
Lo, the grave is rent asunder,
Death is conquered through His might.

Christ has risen! Hallelujah!
Friends of Jesus, dry your tears;
Through the veil of gloom and darkness,
Lo, the Son of God appears!

Christ has risen! Hallelujah!
He has risen, as He said!

- Holley Gerth (Dayspring)

NOTHING TO LOSE

Blaise Pascal, one of the acknowledged masters of calculus, was asked why he believed in eternal salvation or eternal life. His remarks were as follows:

“Let's assume that I am wrong and there is no life hereafter--then I have lost nothing. On the other hand, let's assume that I am right and there is life hereafter, then I have gained everything.”

But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

LETTER FROM THE ISF ASSISTANTS
Dear International Friend,

Our very warm and sincere greetings to you our dear International friends.

The first day of spring has finally arrived. What a wonderful time of the year this is. It seems that new life is evident everywhere we go. Spring is usually the long awaited time of the year when we hope that winter has finally come to an end if even for only a brief period in the cycle of the seasons. Everything seems new and fresh not only in nature around us but even in the innermost part of our beings.

This is a season to reflect and take time to think about what direction your life is headed. For some, new changes will take place as they graduate and put into practice what they have learned. For others it might be the birth of a child or wedding that is on the horizon. These are all very important events we experience. As you face these new challenges remember that you are not alone. God wants to help you in every decision you make and in every responsibility that you face. Humbly acknowledge Him and He can be the source of wisdom that you need.
