GOD'S PRIORITIES

When you make God's priorities your priorities, He will lead you according to His plan and according to His commandments. When you study God's teachings, you are reminded that God's reality is the ultimate reality. Do you seek to live a life of righteousness and wisdom? If so, you must study the ultimate source of wisdom; the Word of God.

                                                                                                            –Values for Life

Does anyone really have a right to tell us what to do? This is an interesting question. Honestly, how would you answer it? When I was a boy, I thought it would be wonderful to grow up so that no one would tell me what to do. Was I ever wrong! Life is full of people who are over us, telling us what to do. That is indeed something we all have to deal with. However, there is One who has a right to tell us what to do and that is God. By the way, that's one of the fundamental reasons many do not want to acknowledge the existence of God – they don't want Him telling them what to do. You see if God does indeed exist and if He is truly my creator, then I am answerable to Him. Man in his struggle to free himself from being answerable to God has made himself a god. And no one is more tyrannical than this self-made god we call “me.”

More Wisdom from the Bible

Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV) There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

Joshua 24:15 (NKJV) “And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

LETTER FROM THE ISF DIRECTORS
Dear International Friend,

Whether you are still in Pittsburgh or not, you are always part of our big International family. We hope you remember the beautiful fall days with the different colors of leaves. Then, of course, there is the Pittsburgh rain. I guess we have to take both. This is a special time of year when we give thanks to God for all His wonderful blessings. Soon my wife and I will complete eleven of the most wonderful years of our lives seeking to help International friends just like you. It's really not us, however, just God's love flowing through our hearts to you. We are announcing two big events coming up - the ISF Thanksgiving Gathering and the Annual ISF Christmas Banquet. We are busy planning for both of these events. Even as I'm typing this letter, Pam is busy in the basement getting things ready. We hope you can join us and please invite your friends. And if you're no longer in Pittsburgh , sit back, close your eyes and let wonderful memories drift back into your mind. God Bless each of you!

--Terry & Pam Tiberio, ISF Directors
