Newsletter   I   NOVEMBER 2008

LETTER FROM THE ISF DIRECTORS
Dear International Friend,

We want to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for your friendship this past year. We hope this Newsletter is a way to keep in touch with you no matter where you live. Many people take time in the month of November to think about things that they are thankful for. If someone asked you what you were most thankful for what would you say? Some may say family or friends while others might say their job or health. We think that God's love for us would be the first on our list. Some might even say that money or the abundance of things are what they are most thankful for. The Bible tells us that, “He that loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loves abundance with increase.” Ecclesiastes 5:11 Remember to keep your priorities on the things that really count. A relationship with Jesus will put in perspective what we should really be thankful for.

We are announcing two big events coming up – the ISF Thanksgiving Gathering and the Annual Christmas Banquet. We are busy planning for both of these events. We hope you can join us and please invite your friends. We hope to see you at the Thanksgiving Gathering. To all of you we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving Day.

--Terry & Pam Tiberio, ISF Directors

NOVEMBER 7th ISF THANKSGIVING GATHERING

We would like to invite you to our ISF Thanksgiving Gathering. This gathering will be on Friday, November 7th at 7:30 PM in the Ballroom of the William Pitt Union. The William Pitt Union is located in Oakland on the corner of Bigelow and Fifth Avenue. To get to the Ballroom, use the entrance on Fifth Avenue and go to your right.

We hope you will come and please especially invite your friends. This will be a time for a “traditional thanksgiving meal” with all the trimmings. There will be special music and we hope an interesting lecture on Thanksgiving. There will also be special children's activities in the Kurtzman room. We hope to see you and remember that it's all free!

DECEMBER 5th ANNUAL ISF CHRISTMAS BANQUET

Make plans now to attend this wonderful annual Christmas event. This will take place on Friday, December 5th, 2008 @ Soldiers & Sailors 7:30 PM in the 3rd Floor Grand Banquet Hall. This is perhaps the largest such banquet hall in Allegheny County and each year we have between 400 and 600 attend this event. This banquet has become a tradition as one of the larger International Christmas events of the year here in Pittsburgh. However, it's impossible to have that many without you coming and inviting all your International friends. Please feel free to use the poster on the other side to advertise this event. Let's once again make this a big and exciting ISF Christmas Banquet! Remember it's all free.
